It is said that the TAMAO (ta-ma-oh) King (beings of the Earth) would go up in the human realms to search for a mate if he senses that he will die soon, after finding the perfect woman to bear his son-essentially the next king, he would make love to her, and she would give birth on the very same day. Afterwards the woman would have no memories of what happened. Tamaos are gentle beings living in underground castles. They either grant a human’s wish or curse them. They are said to be the “Keeper of the Balance” between the three realms; the Kingdom of Shadows, the Mortal Realms, and the Kingdom of Heaven.
